Appalachian Practices - Regional and Cultural, kept among their own “kind” or within family.

Arbatel Praxis - Open but requires closeness to God/Holy Spirit

Brujeria - Open in and of itself, has closed forms

Buddism - Open, trained monks through lineaged monasteries

Catholism - Open, ordained priesthood

Christianity (Protestant) - Open but may require Baptism and/or Confirmation

Druidry - Original priesthood closed, modern inspired revival open.

Enochian - Open, if you dare.

Faustian Magic - Open

Freemasonry - Requires initiation, Fraternity -- Scottish and York rites require completion of Blue Lodge Degrees

Gnosticism - Open as a whole, some sects were closed.

Golden Dawn, The - Initiation to at least 1=10 for outer order, 5=6 for inner order.

Hellenism - Family and Community oriented, but otherwise open

Heathenry - Depends on tradition, some are culturally closed. --Heathenry includes Asatru and Vanatru

Hoodoo - Open

Islam- Open, but many places requires conversion including but not limited to circumcision.

Judaism - Cultural but not considered closed. Conversion may be required in some sects. Mitvah may also be required. Circumcision may be required.

Hinduism - Adherence open, trained priests under the caste system.

Kabbalah - Jewish Kabbalah closed traditionally, --merged with Hermeticism, Neo-Platonism and Gnosticism which hich open.

Khemetic - Open adherence, original priesthood of city-states was closed

Native American Practices - Culturally Closed

Palo/Las Reglas de Congo - Religion of the Congo in the Americas, culturally closed. --Though closed it is interwoven with Santeria.

Pow -wow/Pen. Dutch - Cultural, generally open, sometimes secretive

Reiki - Closed to the those who have not received attunements.

Santeria - Open. Some sects may be closed.

Shinto - Open, family aspects closed, closed clergy

Solomonic Magic - Open

Strega - Cultural, generally kept within families.

Thelema - The Law is for All; O.T.O and A.A. require initiation.

Voodoo - Closed to non-members of a house

Wica (Gardnerian & Alexandrian - Closed to the Uninitiated.

Wicca (ecletic) - Open

Yoga - Traditionally Lineaged but not treated as closed.

Yoruba - Culturally closed, though there is some blend over African influenced paths.
